A little something for the pampered pooch AND the pooch lover!

Don't forget the pooch!
Our Scruffy LOVES opening a present and Santa must come see her every year whether she's been naughty or nice.

For chic toys, Charleston based Harry Barker is the way to go.

"Harry Barker started on a kitchen table in a New York City loft.
Founder CAROL PERKINS modeled with Ford New York, Paris and London, and has appeared in everything from Vogue to Harper's Bazaar to Victoria's Secret. While still modeling, she made her debut on Broadway as a fire-eater with Penn & Teller.
Then, Carol became homebound, and while recovering from a life threatening battle with a rare brain tumor, Carol started creating dog beds, toys and robes for friends as a form of therapy. The popularity of these products led to the launch of Harry Barker, named in honor of Carol’s Super-Sheltie.

Harry Barker products have been featured in In Style, Vogue, Elle Decor, Traditional Home, Southern Living, Martha Stewart Living, Garden & Gun...just to name a few.

We get our girl her Harry Barker toys at Star Provisions and B.D. Jeffries in Atlanta but you can order online at www.harrybarker.com. And if you order by the 22nd, Santa can still deliver them!

Here are some of my favorites:

Just like children, dogs leave toys everywhere. If they are going to be around, I like them to look good in our house! The Hemp Stripe Toy with squeaker (that's very important to Scruffy!!) in orange looks great in our house while giving Scruffy great pleasure.
available in 2 sizes, $ 9.50 and $ 11.50

Equally as attractive is the Kennel Club Bone Toy also available in two sizes and six colors and $ 9.50 and $ 11.50. Country Living chose this one as a toy with great style.

Sister Parish Design and Harry Barker have collar designs to keep your canine companion looking good:

In Style Magazine's 2011 Gift Guide featured this design from Sister Parish. We must be doing something right because Scruffy has asked Santa for this! The classic Sister Parish pattern "Burmese" in Blue & White on Red Nylon will look great on our white Westie.

"Sister Parish loved her Pekingeses more than anything. Yummy, her famous Peke, ruled the office many years and was a terror. In fact, Sister once said, “Yummy doesn’t like the wholesale district, in fact, he won’t get out of the car!” Our dog collars are true reflection of the Sister Parish Design family’s love of dogs."

Collar and leash come in two sizes. Collar is $ 40, leash is $ 60.

Southern Living Magazine chose this Harry Barker collar
"Harry Barker’s Jaquard woven Eton pattern, is made from 100% certified recycled plastics. No petro-chemicals were use in the making of this product. Our high YKK quality buckle is also made of 100% recycled post-consumer plastics and is ergonomic and contoured to fit comfortably on your pet.
Machine wash and dry.

Our specially designed Eton collar is inspired by preppy collegiate upper crust canines
."
available in 7 colors and three sizes
$ 20- $ 24 depending on size

If your furry best friend is of the feline variety, this is what you need to buy:

As featured in O, The Oprah Magazine
Keep your cat's teeth and gums clean while promoting better dental health through non-destructive chewing. Harry Barker's cotton rope toys are 100% cotton, hand woven, azo-free dyed and machine washable.
"Cats will flip (and pounce, and run in circles...) for this cotton mouse with an extra long tail." -- O, Oprah's magazine
Available in tangerine, kiwi, pink azalea, gray, berry red & sky blue
$ 9

And for the pet lover.....

As seen at Maven Menswear in Lafayette, a modern take on the classic silhouette by Brooks Dufrene.

Email photos of your dog to Brooks, pick your background color and frame and your pup is immortalized forever.
Classic.Modern.Cool. a great combination!

Scruffy is sitting under the tree looking out the window waiting for Santa! I hope you are as excited as she is and will consider your four-legged baby when finishing your Christmas shopping.
