Symphony Showcase of Homes-Transitional Cottage

The Acadiana Symphony Orchestra Showcase of Homes opened October 15th...rave reviews are pouring in...the nine designers who have completed three properties for this years project have really outdone themselves and taken this five-year old baby of the Symphony to a whole new level this year!

There is only one week remaining for you to see the genius design work and outstanding quality of building featured in the three properties....

Here is a sneak peek of the Transitional Cottage at
110 Levison Way in River Ranch. New construction by LR Mitchell Construction, the 1,700+/- square foot cottage features a wonderful floor plan with great flow for easy entertaining, generous bedrooms and bathrooms, and tons of storage.

Four design firms worked their magic in this house:

First up, Living and Dining rooms by W. Home Furnishings...all items in the rooms are from W Home Furnishings...a scheme of yellows/taupes/grays/whites is very soothing to the eye and made for comfortable living with washable slipcovers on the key pieces of upholstery.

Master Bedroom by Alabarado's Fine Furnishings:

Soft blue/green walls with primarily neutral upholstery including a Thomas O'Brien for Hickory Chair upholstered headboard...rug from Cyrus Oriental Rugs...abstract paintings by Erin Chance Fenstermaker (the one over the bed is from Galerie Eclaireuse) and Mallory Page Chastant (on side wall)

Guest Bedroom by Jeffery McCullough & Emily Svendson for Jeffery McCullough Art & Design Consulting...features fabulous Papillons paper by Studio Printworks on ceiling, Jonathan Adler light fixture from Lamp Designs in Lafayette, abstract paintings by Marcia Holmes ("Date Night" from Rue du Pont Galerie on side wall in entry to room), Mallory Page Chastant (large abstracts above Albarado's bed and on side wall), Kelli Kaufman (abstract to right of window treatment), Erin Chance Fenstermaker & Joy Gardner (small abstracts above W. Home Furnishings bedside tables), & bedside table lamps from Rita Durio Interiors.

Art Studio by our "artist in residence" Mallory Page Chastant, brilliant young Lafayette native, features abstracts by the artist as well as a custom console table designed by Mallory, hand painted chair by artist Natalie Domingue and custom wood bowls by Dr. Bradley Chastant:

These designers as well as the designers who have designed rooms in the Traditional Home and Contemporary Condo have created the best shopping experience one can have. We have hand-picked our favorite items and put them all in the homes...everything is for sale!

Don't miss this exciting event...Open for you to see tomorrow (Sunday), Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 11-5 and next Sunday (the 31st) from 11-2...that's it! so get out to River Ranch this week.

Please go to www.acadianasymphony.org for more information. Purchase tickets ($20) at River Ranch Realty office at Town Square, River Ranch, or at the Transitional Cottage (110 Levison Way) or Traditional Home (410 Biltmore Way)...

Thank you for choosing the Chelsea Bed by Thomas O'Brien for this beautiful project! All of the employees that hand make each piece of Hickory Chair furniture are very honored to be included.
