The Big Easel Preview Part 1

The Big Easel Art Show will take place at River Ranch Town Square in Lafayette, LA, on Saturday, May 16th from 10 am-5 pm.  I am very excited to be the chair of this years event.  One of the things that I love most about Lafayette and the surrounding area is that the arts scene is really thriving.  Everyone knows that New Orleans has a strong arts community.  It doesn't stop there. All of Southwest Louisiana is full of very talented and skilled artists and artisans specializing in many different mediums.

The 2009 Big Easel will showcase 50+ of Louisiana's  finest artists.  Between now and the end of April, I will be giving you a preview of the artists who are participating in the first ever juried Big Easel.  I hope to see you May 16th at River Ranch Town Square!

This week, I am featuring work by:
Linda Moncla (www.lmoncla.com), Gwen Voorhies (www.gwenvoorhies.com), Hope Hebert (www.hopehebert.com), and Lue Svendson (www.luesvendson.com)
